POLICIES & OTHER INFO
We limit the number of groups & sites available to ensure our guest privacy and to help maintain the tranquility of our grounds. This equates to higher prices than what may be found at other facilities.
Booking Directly:
All guests(including hikers) are required to register prior to booking their first visit. Please complete registration form, liability waiver and provide us with a copy of your valid drivers license. Payments must be made in full at time of booking (see our cancellation policy terms below)
Hikers:
We are a PRIVATE Eco-retreat center. All hikers must contact us to register and make a reservation to hike prior to visiting. Once registered and approved, hikers can book their reservation. Due to our privacy policy, hiking reservations are limited.
Security Deposit Policy:
A security deposit for our cabin rentals in the amount of $300.00 is required at the time of reservation. Deposit is fully refunded once premises has been inspected and no damages have been found (within 5 days of departure).
Reservation Policy:
Registrant must be minimum of 21 years of age to make a reservation (Registration is required)
Cancellation Policy:
Payment is fully refundable if cancellation is 14 days to the scheduled arrival date. If cancellation occurs within 7 days of arrival date, 50% of payment is forfeited or a $50.00 administration fee is charged at our discretion. Failure to show constitutes forfeiture. Once checked in guests is responsible for the entire reservation. No refunds for early departure or inclement weather. No refunds for holiday reservations.
Damages Policy:
Our guest(s) accepts all liability for any/all damages to Tranquility Trails property, cabins or content. All parties agree to pay for any/all repairs due to such acts caused by any member of their party including pets.
Firewood:
Camp fire wood and seasoned hardwood is available for purchase for fire pit or wood-stove heat where applicable. Cost is $10.00 for 2 cubic feet. (If you live outside Allegany county, bringing your own firewood is not an option. This is due to invasive, wood boring insects. NYS law prohibits the transport of firewood into Allegany county)
Pets:
A charge of $35.00 is required. Dogs must be fully vaccinated & licensed and supervised at all times. No exceptions to this policy. If dog(s) bark excessively, becomes aggressive or uncontrollable, the owner(s) may be asked to forfeit the remainder of their stay. When hiking on shared trails, please keep your pet on a leash. Being considerate of other guests rights to feel safe and enjoy the quiet time with nature is crucial. Tranquility Trails reserves the right to implement this policy on their own terms & discretion.
Navigation/ access roads, driveways & trails
10 miles hour speed limit on all access roads and driveways. Private roads to cabins are accessible from paved road. 1 vehicle allowed per site. Ample overflow parking available.Trails are exclusively for our guests. Trails can be used for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing etc. A detailed site/trail map is provided. 10 miles of shared trails. PLEASE adhere to trail map and ALL trail markers when using shared/common trails. Property boundaries are clearly posted. Respect property boundaries and do not enter neighbors property. Smoking is not permitted on shared trails or inside any structure.

Cabin pricing is all inclusive. No administration fees.
Cleaning Policy:
Due to the pandemic we feel that it is very important to assure our guests that the cabins are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each and every guest. Therefore, we hire a professional cleaning service. Currently we do not charge extra for this professional service.
Trash & recyclables: Due to the wild life we have a carry in carry out garbage policy. If you are not able to carry out your trash & recyclable please leave them secured in the steel receptacles located at each site and notify the staff when departing. The grounds are expected to be kept pristine. PLEASE DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE.
Absolutely NO hunting or discharge of firearms or fireworks is permitted at anytime. No hunting, fishing, trapping or foraging. Children must not be left unsupervised. NO EXCEPTIONS. ALL violations will be prosecuted to
the fullest extent of the law.
